Rider: Chloe Paisley
Izzy was a gallant colt. He was getting closer and closer to a win. He had had two starts, so far. His first start ended in a third place finish. Then, he reached second in his last race. Hopefully, a win was next. That's what Lucy and Chloe thought. Chloe rode the colt out onto the dirt track. He tossed his head and let out a whinny. He was excited to be out on the track. Chloe was taking him just 3 furlongs today. Lucy just wanted to get a work in for him to stretch his muscles. So, it would be a quick run.
Chloe wanted to take her time warming him up. She wanted him to enjoy himself, which he did. He eagerly jumped into a jog. Chloe giggled when he kicked out with his hind feet. He was raring to go. He was a fierce colt when it came to being on the track. He was eager to win and please his rider. He could be quite a show off at times. He was so full of himself.
The furlong marker was coming. Soon after Izzy shot into a full blown gallop. They went around the turn with a great amount of speed. Chloe tapped his shoulder with the whip and he was off down the stretch. He dashed away. Chloe dug into him, urging him faster. They flew past the wire. He gave a great whinny as she pulled him down to a trot. She reached down and patted him on the neck. It was a great quick run. She was impressed.
