*Sing A Song For Me*
Horse: Rigoletta's Song
Exercise Rider: Ariel Paisley
The filly towered over everyone. Ariel admired her as Darby and Lucy walked her out of the barn. She had phenomenal bloodlines. She was a spectacular sight. Ariel couldn't wait to get aboard. Lucy smiled and motioned for her to go to the dirt oval with them. Again, able to get closer to Reggie, Ariel did some more admiring. The muscles quivered under her skin as she walked. She was ferocious. She was well built for a two year old.
"I think a good 9 furlong work should do her some good. It will let her stretch her legs and test her endurance" Lucy said as they reached the opening to the dirt oval. She turned to Ariel, who was distracted by the massive filly. Lucy let out a giggle and Ariel jumped. "Sorry. I did hear you. Nine furlongs. It sounds good. I will let her do her thing she said, snapping back to reality. Lucy smiled in response.
Lucy gave Ariel a leg up. Reggie pranced in place, ready to strut her stuff. Ariel clucked her forward and on they went. Reggie eagerly made her way into a canter. She didn't want to go slow. It wasn't her style. Her style was speed. She had long, graceful strides. She wasn't lanky under the saddle. Ariel had a smooth ride. She kept the filly collected.
They came up to the 9 furlong marker. Then, she was off. It all happened so fast. Ariel found herself aboard a freight train of speed, power, and muscle. The fluid movement carried them around the track. Reggie stretched and stretched, putting all her heart into the run. They thundered down the stretch. It was soon over. Ariel had to catch her breath. She never had a horse that had such a powerful burst of speed. She knew this filly was special in her own way.
