*Welcoming Warcry*
Horse: Infinite Warcry
Rider: Lucy McCummins
The big black stallion was magnificent. Lucy was beyond thrilled to have him in as a temporary lease. She went out to visit him every day. It was a warmer afternoon when she decided it was time to have a feel for what the megastar stallion was really made of. She walked out to his paddock. He was grazing intently in the far corner. He didn't notice her right away. He was one of Intrepid Racing's best turf horses. He was by far the best, actually. Lucy planned on racing him once or twice while he currently ran under Durango's colors.
Once Infini lifted his head he sniffed at the air in Lucy's direction. All she could do was smile. She admired the well-built horse as he gallantly trotted up to her. He nickered a welcome and nudged her shoulder. He had really warmed up to her. She wasn't going to let Cavvy down. She was going to keep this horse in top form. She clipped the lead to his halter and lead him into the barn. He towered over her, staying by her side. He wasn't forceful at all. He was a sweet-natured stallion. He was rough and aggressive like most stallions.
Once in the barn she placed him on crossties. She already had her tack out and ready. He stood patiently as she got him groomed. He watched as she tacked him up. He wanted to see what the stranger was doing to him. She was the only one he really opened up to. He considered her a friendly human. He snorted loudly as he watched her snap on her helmet. He knew where they were going.
Once on the track, Infini extended into a full canter. Head bowed, he practically danced around the turf course. He was an easy and steady ride for Lucy. She sat content in the saddle. She felt the butterflies deep within. She was anxious to feel his full power. With a tap on the shoulder with the whip he pushed eagerly into a full gallop. It was a mile run. He needed it and he definitely deserved it. Lucy hung on for dear life. She couldn't believe how powerful this champion was.
Heading into the first turn, Infini ran on his own. He didn't get too far from Lucy. He guided her into the backstretch. He showed her how it was done. She had never been on a horse as powerful as him. None of her horses compared. He was stunning. Down the backstretch he flew. Lucy felt like she was floating on air. She stayed quiet and gave him the rein he needed. He didn't ease up at all as they headed around the final turn. Into the stretch his length extended even more. He was thundering down the stretch. Chunks of dirt and grass flew everywhere behind them.
Lucy hand rode him to the wire. He gained more momentum as they flashed by the finish. She was breathless. It was an incredible run. Now, it was time to get him into a race.
