Rider: Ariel Paisley
Horse 2: Luciana
Rider: Lucy McCummins
Ariel already had Avatar out on the dirt track when Lucy showed up riding Ana. The filly was just off of her first win, after three second place finishes. Lucy had fallen to love the filly. She was glad she had brought her in. Avis caught sight of the striking filly. Her blonde mane blew in the wind. He raised his head with a snort. He started prancing as she cantered by. Lucy looked back with a smile as she shook her head. She knew the young colt was just showing off.
Before Ariel knew it, Avis was on the hunt. He made his way into a canter. He wanted to catch up to his competition. Lucy looked back, again, noticing their gain on her and Ana. She leaned close to the filly's ears. Ana flew on. She thundered down the backstretch. Avis jumped into action. He chased the filly around the turn. Ana wasn't going to let the colt overcome her. She pressed on as they headed into the stretch.
Lucy didn't want the work to be so quick, but the young stars battled to the end. Avis just notched Ana out by a nose. It was a close run. She told Ariel the next run would be much longer, but this one was most certainly enjoyable.
